Louis Lhomel’s journey as a filmmaker began in 2008 when he pursued his passion through cinema studies at UQAM. His films quickly gained recognition, winning several international awards. Although trained in narrative fiction, Louis honed his signature style in documentary and sports filmmaking. With over a hundred sports shorts and more than 9 million views online, he went on to direct two television shows and an 8-episode series for TVA Sport. In 2017, Louis joined Tarzan Studio, where he directed over 94 projects, 44 of which he created the concept. During this time, he also produced, directed, and edited a web series spanning three seasons, with 21 episodes and over 450,000 views. In 2023, Louis took part in the X-Games Real international extreme sports video competition, earning a silver medal.

A self-taught creator, Louis excels both in collaborative studio environments and working solo with just a camera, whether in a bustling studio or in the wilds of the African bush. From scriptwriting to cinematography, editing to on-set special effects, he is a true Swiss army knife, adding unique value to every project he works on.
